This is where we went to look at rings. It is my uncle's shop. My cousin Blake, who I hadn't seen for three years (two of which he was on a mission) was the one that helped us.

On our way to Portland, Dean pulled off the freeway to "stretch his legs" and woke me up because he was getting tired and might need me to drive. We took Exit #317 and halfway between the freeway and Pleasant Valley he parked on the side of the road. He went to the back and got something out of the trunk, his iPod and came back with that and.....a white jewelry box. We had been waiting all week for a call that my ring has been sized. It was initially a size seven and my little fingers need a 4 1/2. He got it on Tuesday, three days before, but didn't tell me. I gasped and then couldn't take my eyes of it for two hours. I took tons of pictures of it too. Even though I helped pick it out, I was surprised and am so excited to wear it every day. When I took my turn to drive, I had a hard time concentrating because I made sure and drove with my left hand on top of the steering wheel. He told me that everytime I look at it he wants me to remember that he loves me.

One of the 20 pictures I took!

And another!!!

Driving in Oregon....

And Driving...
(gorgeous, eh?)

And Driving....

The first night we stayed just outside of Portland. Saturday about noon we took off for the coast and stopped at every turnout that we could. We couldn't believe how beautiful it was. It was "misting" all day, but it didn't matter. We were totally amazed at the amazing creations Heavenly Father has blessed us with here on Earth.

And Stopping.....

And stopping.....

Another Stop...

Another Stop.....

Another Stop....

This is a place we stopped Monday morning after driving North all day Sunday. It is a Catholic Sanctuary just outside of Portland. There were statues of The Virgin Mary, Christ and his disciples. It was so calm and peaceful.

This was a stop we made on our way back East a little ways from Portland. Look hard and you will see a little castle.

This is a stop we made at Multnomah Falls.

This is the view we had Sunday night from our room at Red Lion in Portland.

This is one of the stops we made on the coast on Saturday.

On Saturday morning we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Dean entertained the idea of me wanting to look at assembly lines.

Packaging cheese....to me it was fascinating!

Making cheese.....

A light house we stopped at on Saturday. There was a museum nearby with historical artifacts from past Coast Guard Lighthouse Keepers.

On Sunday we walked through some shops in the Southern Oregon town of Bandon. This is a handmade wooden clock.

He can be serious once in a while...

I guess that is all that I am..... (he just never got the camera)

A lady saw us trying to take our own picture at Multnomah Falls and probably felt sorry for us and took it for us.

One of our stops on the coast.

A stop at the view of the castle Monday on our way back to Idaho. There was a nice couple we begged to take a picture of us. We thought this looked like we were in Italy. Not really, but we can wish, right?
